Jul62-Jul63. MAAG Vietnam (Starcom 6751). Security NCO for the construction of Phu Lam. Started out with a French Transmitter Station, Antenna field and rice paddies. Rice rats eating insulation off cabling, fuel tanks pits flooding and all the fun associated in building a communications facility. Fun times. :-)

Wonderful historical memorial. I was Officer-In-Charge of the Autodin switching center during the first half of 1969. I am mislabeled in some pictures as "Wiess".

Thanks for the presentation.

The photos of the Hoi Duc-Anh orphanage from 1967-1968 are very important to me, because I stayed there myself during those years. My Vietnamese name is Huynh-Tan-Duc and I left the orphanage on January 20, 1968 through the adoption of Terre des Hommes Belgium. Through this way I contact Jennifer Nguyen Noone ( Nguyen Thi Dai Trang ) Do you have any other pictures of in the orphanage or information, documents about the orphanage? I even found and met my friend from the orphanage !! I hope you can help me with information that may lead to my family being found . I was born on July 9, 1963 . Kind regards, Jespers Erwin

Looking at Google Earth, one of the tropo antennas is still standing. The others appear to have been taken down.
